Working Girls
Working Girls is a 2010 Filipino comedy film starring Eugene Domingo, Jennylyn Mercado, Iza Calzado, Cristine Reyes, Bianca King, Eula Valdez and Ruffa Gutierrez. Directed by Jose Javier Reyes, from a screenplay by Amado Lacuesta, it is was released to cinemas on April 21, 2010 in the Philippines.
hey are everyday woman who all live under a world where Men rule Business and Woman rule the Office in this Comedy hit of the Summer Paula,(Eugene Domingo)is the Daughter In Law of Nimfa (Gina Pareno) who is the Queen of fake designer bags she earns high earning a living and puts her very smart children into a private school in the Ateneo University a life her husband cannot provide so she acts as Mother and Father a responsibility her husband cannot provide because he is so caught up in his craze of becoming a basketball player, Then there is Single Mom Ada (Jennylyn Mercado) a young woman who works as a call center agent and student who also has no time for her young boy, her mother Sabel (Rio Locsin) is also affected by how Ada lives because she too was a single parent Ada is also friends with Tobs (Carlo Aquino) whose best friends with her and has issues with his girlfriend Wendy (Cristine Reyes) who does not give him time nor pleasure, whose long life decision is to be in showbiz but she meets Rodney (Rafael Rosell) whose also the Attorney to the famous client Dr. Cleo Carillo, a Celebrity Doctor whose famous for her many clients and also interfaces are Marilou (Ruffa Guttierez) a Beauty Queen turned Accidental CEO, who is also the hatred of Amanda Dela Vega her ex husbands daughter before he passed away and her grand daughter Dara Dela Vega (Bianca King) a Berkley Graduate who wants to be part of a Television Department as she is also infused with issues from home and also in her life then there is Suzanne (Carmi Martin) Marilous best friend who tries to stay and look young, then Theresa (Iza Calzado) Dr. Carillo's husbands nurse who in the other part of the story in the facility has an issue with one of the patients Theresa is the sweetheart but due to heartbreak she decides to not face her ex but then before her last day in the facility before she goes abroad she decides on what to do to heal the last pieces remaining that have hurted her all along after all her success. In the end Paula, whose life is all on being the loud mouthed depressed wife finds comfort after her little affair with her driver (Ricky Davao) Ada decides to also love Tabs and as for Wendy she now knows how it's like to be hurt by being left by Rodney, Dara shows her wits and talent as she uncovers the truth about a protestor Dolorosa "Rose" Bonefacio (Maria Isabel Lopez) a activist against womans rights who used to be a prostitute and also is a most common activist on Cleo Carillo's manifestation of Making Woman Beautiful and Killing themselves which honors Dara respect by the News Department for fufilling a good deal on the story for Marilou, she backfires at Amanda as she finds out where all the money is spent by Amanda's lifestyle costs on home and unnecessary things, that all belong to the corporation, and for Theresa she forgives Emily and her ex, this all counts down on everyday women, from successful, lives from love, money, and in the community, these are the Working Girls.
