KC Concepcion as Maxie is a wannabe fashion designer living in New York, trying to build her first boutique with the help of a powerful investor. But her boyfriend breaks up with her and runs away with the money, leaving her to scrounge for some way to get the boutique finished. She travels back home to the Philippines to have her estranged father (Gabby Concepcion) sign over a piece of conjugal property left to her by her mother. Maxie is still bearing a grudge for her father leaving them, but her father is determined to bring his family back together.
